Family first means Hawai’i first.
Danny first learned government and the values of God, Duty, Honor, Country as the only child of a military family. His father, retired Colonel Daniel P. de Gracia Sr, served in the United States Air Force during the Cold War as a Medical Service Corps officer who was awarded the Legion of Merit twice. His mother, retired Dr. Bellit de Gracia, was a member of the Air Force Civil Service and was the humans relations advisor to the commanding general of the largest medical training center in the southwestern United States.
Danny learned from an early age that families who love and mentor one another are the strength of our nation. Watching his father and mother gave him the values of patriotism, loyalty, and selfless devotion to a cause greater than himself. Danny’s family also includes many other military officers and enlisted, scientists, engineers, physicians, and others who all believe that the United States of America represents the promise that nothing is impossible for those who work hard, live honest lives, and play by the rules.
Family values for Danny means that everyone is family, and everyone has value. When elected to office, Danny will show leadership-by-example through his commitment to God, Duty, Honor, Country.
